Trying Something New - The True North Life
Living in Northern Ontario is a unique way of life, filled with its own trials and tribulations. This is not an episode of the Hills on MTV or Canadian Idol, this is real. So the True North Life is exactly that, real. I created this project to talk about the social, business, and cultural issues in Northern Ontario.
So I guess I will start with my name, Craig Schoen. I am a third year student in Business at the University of Ottawa, I am a goalie and play hockey for the Carleton Place Kings Jr. B Hockey Club, I own my own business training hockey players in North Bay, and I also work for True North Chevrolet Cadillac Ltd.
I didn't always call Northern Ontario (N.O) my home, I used to be from Southern Ontario. My mom, two brothers and two sisters moved here when my father Peter Schoen purchased True North Chevrolet Cadillac Ltd. I am a small part of the True North team of over 60 employees helping people in N.O get the cars they want.
So the big question; what can you expect in this blog? The answer is everything. For you questioning folk out there I will be more specific.
- Interviewing the people of Northern Ontario from all over the map
- Talking about the current issues that really matter to N.O.
- Posting Northern Ontario art, sounds good so far
- Showing the cars of Northern Ontario, if its for sale or not send a photo and description, show us what you've got.
- My favorite, hearing what other people have to say about the North including our neighbors in Southern Ontario and people from around the world.
- Oh, and you will get to here about my adventures, I'm moving back to the big city to finish of my school at the University of Ottawa, I will keep you posted :-)
